Introducing CustomMix 3.0

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page
We’re excited to announce some major improvements to CustomMix® that we’re aptly naming CustomMix 3.0 since this is our third major update to our browser-based software for exporting tracks. First, we’ve improved the experience for all CustomMix files in Playback to now include Dynamic Guide Cues, the ability to edit Song Sections, and if you have a valid MultiTracks Cloud Membership you can now request each CustomMix file be processed for free in as many as eight different keys! CustomMix files in Playback will now come as three separate files (Click, Guide and a Stereo Mix) and a CustomMix download will come as four files (Click, Guide, Stereo & AutoPanned Mix).

Why CustomMix?

Why Custom Mix

CustomMix® is a software created by our team at MultiTracks.com to make it really easy to mix and export your tracks from any web browser. Before CustomMix, you would need to purchase a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) like ProTools or Ableton Live and buy a full MultiTrack as an entry point to running tracks. If all you need is a simple stereo mix of tracks and you’re not familiar with DAWs, we found this was a barrier for those who want a quick and easy solution.  CustomMix is an inexpensive and easy way to get started with the concept of running tracks and with these new upgrades, it offers even more value.

MultiTracks Cloud

MultiTracks Cloud

We’ve added a brand new Premium Tier to our Cloud Memberships. The Premium Tier gives you up to 1TB of storage.  For all you Power Users with lots of tracks - this one’s for you. In addition to uploading your own tracks, a Cloud Membership allows you to store all of your individual CustomMix files in the keys you want and they’re always available in Playback. Remember all of our Intro, Pro, & Premium Cloud Subscriptions include a 30 Day Free Trial which we encourage you to try and you can download your CustomMix files in additional keys for free!

CustomMix in Playback

We’ve given the experience of running a CustomMix a major upgrade in Playback too. Now, when you purchase a CustomMix, you’ll always see three files downloaded into Playback: a Click Track, Guide Track, and a Stereo-version of your tracks. If you want to only use CustomMix files for a traditional accompaniment track, you can mute the Click and Guide and this will give you only your instrumentation in stereo.
When using CustomMix files with a band, you can now adjust the Click and Guide levels independently from each other. You can still use the AutoPan feature included in Playback Intro and Pro to send Click and Guide out of the left channel and the mix of tracks out of the right channel. This would let you use a simple headphone cable to send audio out of your iPhone/iPad.

CustomMix in Playback

CustomMix files now have access to all the great functionality available in Playback Pro and Premium given to full MultiTracks in Playback. You can edit song sections, loop and infinite loop with Dynamic Guide Cues (including Multiple Languages).
One of the best values of receiving a free Stereo version of every CustomMix is that you can take advantage of our Multi-Outs feature in our Premium Version of Playback. You can now route your Click, Guide, AND Stereo version of your mix (Left and Right) down 4 separate channels of audio outputs using an approved USB Audio Interface.

New Download Format

New Download Format

Every CustomMix file downloaded from the site now includes 4 audio files: Click, Guide, Stereo & AutoPanned Mix. If you use CustomMix in a DAW, you now have separate control of click and guide, and this allows you to use your own click with your CustomMix. If you’d rather use the traditional AutoPanned version,  we’ve included that as well with Click & Guide on the left and a mono mix of tracks on the right.
