Lyrics

Verse 1

There is a power
There is a presence
Holding all Heaven
Watching the Earth
It can part troubled waters
Quench every thirst
Heal what is broken
And break every curse

Verse 2

There is a power
So overwhelming
All of creation
Bows to its name
And it came to save every captive
Cover every shame
Keep every promise
And break every chain

Chorus

Oh there is power in this room
And any darkness has to move
For the light is breaking through

Post Chorus

And everything that exalts itself
Must fall
Underneath the power of
Our great God

Verse 3

There is a power
Death cannot alter
There is a grave
Hell could not steal
It's here to change every outcome
Lift every head
Win every battle
And raise the dead

Chorus

Oh there is power in this room
That the darkness has to move
For the light is breaking through

Post Chorus

And everything that exalts itself
Must fall
Underneath the power of
Our great God

Bridge

In the name of Jesus
There is power
And in the name of Jesus
There is healing
In the name of Jesus
There is power
It's in the name in the name
In the name of Jesus

Tag

In the name in the name
In the name of Jesus

Chorus

Oh there is power in this room
That the darkness has to move
For the light is breaking through

Post Chorus

And everything that exalts itself
Must fall
Underneath the power of
Our great God

Refrain

You have the power
You have the power

Chorus

There is power in this room
And any darkness just has to move
For the light is breaking through

Post Chorus

And everything that exalts itself
Must fall
Underneath the power of
Our great God

Rita Springer | Light

Wednesday, January 13, 2021

Rita Springer, a gifted worship leader, started writing music for the church as part of the Vineyard Movement in the late 1980’s into the 90’s. Her love of music flowed out as an extension of her passionate relationship with God and what she describes as her musical “journal to God in private” which later became her public worship. Her latest release Light is now available!

"We pray these songs bring light to dark places, encourage the saint, and draw the wanderer home."
