New Album from Chris Tomlin: Love Ran Red

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
Chris Tomlin is one of the most well-known and influential artists in Contemporary Christian music today.  He has just released his 10th studio recording, Love Ran Red, which was produced by longtime friend and collaborator Ed Cash and features songs penned by Tomlin, Cash, Matt Redman, Jonah Myrin, Ben Glover, Jason Ingram, and Ben Fielding.  It is filled with moving anthems of worship that present an overall theme of the greatness of God's love. The album is full of congregational songs including "Jesus Loves Me" which is a powerful reminder of a simple truth, speaking of how Jesus pursues us in our darkest moments, enveloping us in His love.  It rejoices in the fact that, "Jesus, He loves me, He loves me, He is for me. Jesus, how can it be, He loves me, He is for me."  "Greater" opens with the words of Romans 11:36, giving God the glory and praising His greatness, elevating Him above all things.  The chorus proclaims, "Greater is the One who lives in me.  Greater is the love of Jesus. Greater than my sin, greater than the grave.  Above all other thrones, above all other names.  Greater.  You are greater!"  You may have heard "At the Cross (Love Ran Red)" which originally appeared on Passion's Take It All album earlier this year.  The song speaks of God's love, alive in Jesus's sacrifice, painting a picture of His blood cleansing our sins: "At the cross, at the cross, I surrender my life. I'm in awe of You, I'm in awe of You. Where Your love ran red and my sin washed white. I owe all to You. I owe all to You, Jesus."  Filled with honesty and passionate worship, each song on Love Ran Red praises the fullness of God's love. Love Ran Red - Chris Tomlin
