Awake Our Souls is a portrait of singer and songwriter Tim Timmons' own awakening and an invitation for every listener to discover life's abundance in Jesus Christ.  “We talk about all these things I’ve known about my whole life—like freedom in Jesus and overwhelming joy—but I’ve never known it until now, and it’s just this awakening in my soul,” he shares. “The goal of this record is to invite people into a new reality of the Kingdom of God that is around us all the time."

With a fun, upbeat folk sound, "Everywhere I Go" reminds us that Jesus is always with us.  Tim recalls a time when he was praying with one of his daughters at bedtime and she prayed for God to be with her.  He remembered that the Bible says He will be with us always and realized this should affect how we pray.  “The old prayer is, ‘Would You be with me today?’ The new prayer is, ‘You’re already here. Help me see where You’re at work,’” he explains.  "Rest My Soul" also touches on this theme, assuring us of God's faithfulness and constant presence.  The song examines what it means to relinquish our control and experience perfect peace knowing God is in charge and He is on our side.  It states, "God of perfect peace, You are here with me.  On this raging sea, it's true You won't let me go.  You're my joy, my hope.  I will rest my soul in You."

"All I Really Want" prays that we may truly get to the point where Jesus is enough for us; where He is sufficient and satisfying.  It invites Jesus to Have His way in us so that, "All I really want is, all I really want is You.  All I really want is, all I really want is You.  Be the One I seek, be the One I'm holding to, yeah.  So that all I really want is, all I really want is You."

The songs found on Awake Our Souls truly encourage living each day to its fullest and to the glory of God.  Be sure to check out the entire album now available on iTunes - download your copy today!
