Indie Showcase: What We Hope For by Emmanuel Live Tuesday, September 27, 2016 Emmanuel LIVE is a dynamic, passionate and spirit led worship band that serves out of Emmanuel Christian Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This week, we are excited to feature their latest release, What We Hope For, as our Indie Showcase. This new live recording is full of congregational worship that encourages us to look ahead with hopeful anticipation of what God can do as we live lives that are full of faith. Emmanuel LIVE worship leader Mark Alan Schoolmeesters comments, “We are excited to see how God is using the music to reach people, though it’s not at all about whether or not it is successful in the eyes of the world. We never set out to make an album. We are burdened to write songs for our church, out of the journey of faith we are walking and have a strong desire to be a resource to THE local church and these recordings have been a vehicle to do just that.”

This new release features a blend of folk elements, rocking beats, and powerful truths that all come together with a sound that is uniquely Crowder. "I know what it means to have the divide spanned on my behalf," he shares. "Grace works on us all just the same. Love works on us all just the same. Freedom works on us all just the same. There’s only one definitive line and that’s the one between death and life. These songs are about that divide spanned on our behalf and I pray they are subversive and healing in their insistence of that reality."
