Be Held: Lullabies for the Beloved is a brand new collection of songs from Christy Nockels. The album was birthed out of Christy's journey of learning to be present in an increasingly frantic and noisy world, coming to a place where she would seek the truth of God's Word in the midst of a busy and often exhausting season of life. "It was there, in the secret place of my kitchen, far from any platform or stage, that I learned to be God's child all over again," she shares. "In learning to be held by the God who made me, I learned how to better hold my own. In learning that I was truly unconditionally loved by my Heavenly Father, I found that my own ability to love could actually come from that perfect love through me. These songs, now in full bloom, are for all of us. None of us ever outgrow the need for rest. None of us ever get too grown up to need to just be held by our Father. My prayer for this record is that when we listen, we'll find ourselves like kids again, receiving what's always been true of us. And when we hear the song that's being sung over us, waving like a banner, the hope is that we'll start singing it over our own and everywhere we go."
