NEW from UPPERROOM - "Holy Spirit (We Love You)" Tuesday, December 4, 2018 We are excited to announce a new exclusive partnership with UPPERROOM, starting with the release of their first single, "Holy Spirit (We Love You)". As we begin this partnership, we would love for you to hear from a member of their team, Joel Figueroa, as he talks about his heart behind the new single. “‘Holy Spirit (We Love You)’ was birthed through the word. I was reading the book of Mark and in Chapter three, the scribes accuse Jesus of being demon possessed and were saying that 'He has an unclean spirit'. And then, it hit me. I began to weep and I felt Holy Spirit’s heartbreak because He has been so misunderstood. The scribes misunderstood Holy Spirit, the very Spirit that was living inside Jesus performing miracles, setting people free. The very Spirit of God was seen as an unclean spirit. This hit me like a ton of bricks. I wrote this song because I wanted to explicitly tell Holy Spirit that we LOVE Him and that ALL His ways are perfect. That everything He does is beautiful, good, and that His leadership is priority. I wanted Him to know that we honor His presence. He leads us into all truth. He searches the very depths of God and reveals it to us. He deserves to be honored and I refuse to be like the scribes and judge Him because I don’t understand Him all the time. I just want Him to lead everything. I want Him to know I love Him, that we love Him. That’s where this song came from." Original Master MultiTracks and other worship-leading resources for "Holy Sprit (We Love You)" are now available. Over the next few months we will be adding more from their catalog.

Guest Blog from Darlene Zschech - "The Table" Tuesday, December 4, 2018 We are excited to have Darlene Zschech write a special guest post for today's blog. "I love Christmas and this year at Hope UC our theme is ‘There’s a place for you here’, focusing around the table. One of my most precious times at Christmas is when I prepare the table for family and friends. It’s not just about the beauty of the table, but what it represents. The gathering of like-hearted and like-minded people, friends you see often and family you see once a year. We have been given a precious picture in God’s Word when, just before Jesus’ greatest suffering, He gathered His disciples around the table and He broke bread. In other words, He pulled together His precious friends (and one enemy), He gave thanks to His Father, and in doing so, He continued His personal preparation for what would ultimately be the greatest moment in all of history.=
