Hillsong Worship - Awake

The news songs of Awake from Hillsong Worship rouse the listener. Community, humanity and divinity tangibly inform the sounds across the record as worship leaders voices are set against everything from harps to horn ensembles; synths to human percussion; spontaneous worship, small vocal ensembles and big choir to soaring guitars and the rustling, rumbling texture of intercession. Lyrically, revival (awakening) is front and center - completing the picture Hillsong Church has prophesied to the greater Church this year as senior pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston declared “revival is in the air” and then Hillsong United released People, followed by Awake from Hillsong Worship  because what is revival if not “people awake."

kalley - "Alabaster Heart"

Alabaster Heart” is Kalley Heiligenthal’s first single as an artist with Bethel Music. Kalley wrote the song after she and her family were forced to evacuate from the 6th largest fire in California history that spread to her neighborhood. Unsure if her home was still standing, Kalley went through “layers of surrender” as she released control of all she owned and was met with the opportunity to give God an offering. With her song, Kalley calls listeners to trust God with all that we give Him, and believe that He knows what is on the other side of our surrender.
