We Are Messengers - "This Is Jesus"

Just in time for the holiday season, We Are Messengers have re-released a new Christmas EP,  God With Us, featuring a brand new recording "This Is Jesus." Set to the melody of well-known hymn "Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing," new song "This Is Jesus" shines a poignant light on the Savior's birth with original lyrics penned by We Are Messengers and acclaimed songwriter Tony Wood. "God sent His Son to be born in a stable to the virgin Mary and to take on human flesh and live the most incredible, holy, wonderful life, and then to die. It's almost too hard to fathom, but this is Jesus. He is the King of Glory, here to rescue us.," front man Darren Mulligan shares, reflecting on the message of the song.

Biography

Led by Darren Mulligan, We Are Messengers is a family, band and ministry originally hailing from Ireland and now based in the United States. We Are Messengers’ self-titled debut garnered the collective its first Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year. The album’s lead single, “Everything Comes Alive,” became a Top 5 hit and one of Word Entertainment’s fastest-growing radio singles. In addition, the band’s follow-up singles, “Magnify,” and “Point to You” also reached Top 5 at radio. Mulligan’s poignant songwriting can also be heard on Crowder’s “My Victory,” as well as selections placed in film and television such as “I Want You,” which was chosen as the theme song for MTV show “Coupled and “I’ll think about you” featured in the Lionsgate movie ‘The Shack.” Since the release of their debut in 2016, We Are Messengers has played to more than 750,000 people as a part of major tours and their own headlining events.
