Biography

‘REVERENCE WORSHIP’ was created by brothers Preston and Spencer Dalton, who were born in Waco, Texas. They later moved to New Braunfels, Texas, where their parents founded a church and led worship.

As the brothers grew up seeing their parents shepherd people with songs and scriptures, the brothers’ foundation was established. In 1997 they began honing their musical gifts and leading worship themselves after seeing the British worship band ‘Delirious?’ perform during their U.S. tour.

Spencer describes the landmark moment this way: “At ten years old I left that auditorium filled with a vision. I saw how worship begins in the secret place, not in the writing room. I saw what it looked like to take on a kind of priestly purpose and become a key that unlocks the door into God’s holy presence while inviting a generation to step in with you.”

Following this experience, Preston and Spencer were marked, and their mission was made clear: music was the passion they were destined to pursue! After developing their sound and leading the youth of their city in worship at a weekly worship event hosted at their parents’ church, they signed their first record deal before the age of 18 and had toured multiple continents by the age of 21.

After signing their record deal, they relocated to Franklin, Tennessee (outside Nashville), where they continued to develop their career in writing, producing, and performing. This ultimately led them to a career of recording and performing alongside multi-platinum producers and artists under labels such as Sony, Warner, Capitol, and Provident. They also joined the worship band Sonicflood as members and executive producers and remained with them a number of years before finally deciding to trade in the touring life for a studio life by opening their very own studio outside of Nashville, TN called “Sanctuary Hills”.

As the years went by in vans, buses, and planes, in studios and writing sessions, the brothers felt a wind of change at their back. Through a significant supernatural encounter with the presence of God in 2023, it was made clear to them by the Lord that He was calling Preston and Spencer back to their roots of worship that began in childhood. And so they formed ‘REVERENCE WORSHIP’—not out of a desire to entertain, but out of a necessity to invite others into the presence of God that they had encountered for themselves.

As they began to form a vision and team around this experiential music, it would soon come to be that some of the very members of the British worship band ‘Delirious?’—who had so impacted their lives during childhood—would join them in the process of recording and launching their debut EP entitled ‘PORTALS / Part I’.

Their first single, “Bring Heaven Down”, is a stadium-sized rock worship anthem calling the body of Christ to join with all of Heaven in glorifying the name of Jesus. The brothers believe there’s no greater way to light the fuse of ‘REVERENCE WORSHIP’ than to sing this Chorus with the saints on earth and all the angels in Heaven:

“All God’s children, lift your voices, let your praise ring out. Hosts of Heaven, join the chorus, Lord, Bring Heaven Down!”
