For over 20 years Lydia has been leading people into God's presence through dynamic and passionate worship. Lydia's powerful and soulful voice carries a breaker anointing; creating an atmosphere for deliverance, healing, and freedom in the lives of worshippers. When Lydia began leading worship at the age of 15 she could never have imagined the doors God would open for her across the globe to not only sing about God's goodness and holiness, but also declare it through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God.
Born into the home of pastors and missionaries, Lydia grew up surrounded by praise, worship, and solid biblical teaching. She traveled the globe with her church-planting parents and at an early age, discovered a deep love for the local church and the nations of the world. Lydia says this about growing up as a pastor/missionary kid, "I'm that pastors kid who loved every minute of ministry life! My parents had such a vibrant and authentic love for the church. They were also musicians, songwriters and worship leaders. They modeled for me sacrificial leadership as well as sacrificial worship. I just knew very early on in life, I too was called to this kind of life and ministry."
In her young adult years Lydia experienced first hand the power of worship when it comes to personal healing. "My father passed away suddenly when I was 21, just 4 months before my wedding day. I was completely devastated. However, the very first thing my mom, my then fiancé and I did was to stop everything and begin singing praises to God. It may sound crazy but it was the first thing we thought to do. In the midst of such horrific tragedy and pain all we could, all we wanted to do, was worship. Immediately peace and healing rushed in." After this experience a longing desire for people to experience God's healing and wholeness exploded in Lydia's heart.
Lydia married Scott, the love of her life, in 2003. Together they served as Worship & Executive Pastors at Grace North Church, a multi-site congregation in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2011 they took over the senior leadership of Grace North and served as Co-Pastors until 2017. In their almost 15 years of marriage, Lydia and Scott have walked through great triumph and tragedy. The trials of life and ministry caused Lydia to press in deeper to begin writing songs that uniquely express the faithfulness, sovereignty and majesty of God.
"My personal belief is that Christians should never grow weary of worshipping God. If we have seen Him for who He really is and have experienced His goodness and power, then nothing should keep us from holding back our praise! Nothing. No circumstance, person, or emotion. Worship is a choice!"
Though Lydia has written songs for the past 15 years, she never considered herself a true songwriter until 3 years ago. In 2014 God opened a door for Lydia to begin writing with professional writers in Nashville, TN. She found herself surrounded by not only talented writers, but writers who had the same heart for the church and desired above all to write songs FOR the church. Lydia considers the mentorship and co-writing opportunities she has received "an absolute divine appointment and opportunity that only God Himself could orchestrate!" After almost 2 years of travel between Phoenix and Nashville Lydia knew it was time to pursue recording her debut worship album.
Lydia's debut worship album "You Are With Us" was recorded live at Grace North Church in Phoenix, AZ on September 6, 2016. Lydia says this about the experience; "It was a dream come true for me to record the album at my home church with the people she had been leading in worship for 15 years! Every song was written with my church in mind so it was a mind-blowing experience to record the songs with the people they were written for." The album boasts songs co-written by highly acclaimed and respected writers and artists such as Michael Farren, Tony Wood, BJ Putnam, Adam Ranney, Dustin Smith and Benji Cowart. Lydia is most proud of the fact that her husband Scott Ingegneri is also a co-writer on every track on the album. Every track is unique in its own right, proclaiming a message of victory and the abiding presence of God. "You Are With Us" was released February 2017 and has been enthusiastically received and warmly embraced throughout the world.
In this current season Lydia is focused and purposeful about building her family and ministry. Lydia is a proud mom to 4 awesome, passionate, and busy kids. Dominic (11), James (9), and twin girls Kelly Joy & Mia (6) travel with their parents; Lydia and Scott consider ministering as a family their greatest joy in life. Lydia says this about parenting, "Parenting is not always easy, but it's the greatest responsibly and joy I have been given. No matter what I may accomplish, raising God-honoring kids who love His church and love His people is my #1 goal. My kids, not my ministry, is my greatest legacy."
In July 2017 Lydia and Scott resigned as Senior Pastors of Grace North Church and relocated to Nashville, TN. They also launched Awaken Ministries International; a global ministry called to awaken the Church to calling, vision, and purpose. Awaken Ministries has a strategic call to awaken leaders and individuals to their divine purpose and destiny through leadership development, discipleship, worship leading and resourcing, preaching and teaching the depth and truth of Gods word, and releasing individuals to their fullest potential. Lydia continues to work as a songwriter with The Rain Collective and minister as an Independent Worship Artist under the covering of Awaken Ministries Intl.
