“Before anything else, I am a lover and a grateful servant of Christ,” says Charles Weems. Charles is a 21 year old singer/songwriter who has just released one of his first worship songs “Slow Me Down.” Although the world is just now hearing Charles, he has a deep catalogue of songs created since he was eight years old.

Charles is no stranger to the church, as he comes from a long line of pastors. His grandparents on his mother’s side are pastors. However, on his father’s side, the legacy of pastorship is deep. Charles’ great grandfather and grandfather were pastors, and now the mantle has been passed down to his father. Charles is grateful for his lineage. He says “It played a significant role in my relationship with the Lord today.”

Charles loves recording music in studios, but his joy is to lead worship and serve the local church. Charles loves music and is grateful for the call and the gift. However, Charles’ heart is to be known as a fervent lover, an unapologetic follower and grateful servant of Jesus.
