Head of People and Culture

You will provide leadership on HR, people related policies, and work with our leadership to create a culture that supports our vision and core values. As the Head of People and Culture, you will help to create a culture that protects, engages, and positions the team for success. You will be leading the process of recruiting and hiring rock star candidates to join us.

Most of all, you love what you do, you believe in the company, the mission, and the team. 

What you will do: 

  • Manage and screen incoming applicants for various roles 

  • Recruit for hiring roles as needed  

  • Interview top candidates and schedule follow up interviews  

  • Prepare and send offer letters 

  • Onboard and train new employees  

  • Maintain and organize employee records 

  • Create a vision and goals for HR (Human Resources) and inspire and motivate the team to achieve excellence 

  • Manage Employee Benefits

  • Create, manage, and edit the employee handbook as needed 

  • Assist in the development of employee Job Descriptions 

  • Celebrate and honor birthdays, work anniversary’s, company milestones, etc.  

  • Prepare Weekly Reports 

  • Coordinate with employment attorney

  • Serve as point of contact for all HR related resources and questions 

  • Support company culture and overall health of the team 

  • Assist with planning and organization of events 

Skills preferred:  

  • Familiarity with Strengthsfinder or Enneagram is a plus, but not required

  • Ability to understand business goals and recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results  

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills 

  • 2 years of HR experience at a fast-growing company where you have been a part of and/or responsible for policy creation and compliance  

  • 1-2 years developing onboarding and training plans  

  • Motivated to stay up to date regarding HR best pracitices and trends

  • Passion for process improvement 

  • Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and leading teams 

  • Advanced project management skills; ability to lead projects at a network level to influence and obtain buy-in, and then drive execution and achievement of the right results 

  • Success in creating and driving effective and positive employee relations, retention, and reward programs
