Resound is the brand new release from acclaimed Dutch worship artist Reyer, recorded live in the largest amphitheatre in the Netherlands. This new album comes two years after the release of Reyer's Dutch debut project, Eeuwig Licht (Everlasting Light), which earned him a Dutch Dove Award and it connects the sound of contemporary worship with his passion for modern music, using pop and dance influences. Reyer shares the heart behind the recording, "The word 'resound' literally means 'to echo' or 'sound loudly.' In this time where fear and terror have such a loud voice in the world we live in, I want to make a decision to speak love, hope, and compassion into our nation. And I believe it is essential, now more than ever, to make known the greatness of our God."
"Never End" is an upbeat anthem that praises God's faithfulness and shows how He has been constant as a loving Father, a mighty ruler, and a strong fortress. It joyfully proclaims His goodness as it praises, "Your faithfulness never ends, never ends. Your unfailing word, it ever stands, ever stands. I will praise Your name and again, and again. Your faithfulness will never end. It will never end." Another strong track on the album is "Life." It's catchy and driving and will have worshippers rejoicing as they praise the way Jesus has restored us and brought us new life, "You are life abundant, overflowing life. Redeeming, never ending life calling us out of the night into Your light, You are life."
Also included on the cd is a new rendition of Matt Redman's popular worship favorite, "10,000 Reasons" and a studio version of Reyer's original song, "I See the Cross," which features Paul Baloche. It walks through Jesus's death and resurrection and tells of the way He saved and redeemed us through His sacrifice, praising, "Hallelujah, I give You glory. King of my heart, Lord of my soul. Hallelujah, You conquered for me my sins and death, forevermore."
