New MultiTracks from Jeremy Camp's I Will Follow

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
The idea for Jeremy Camp's 8th studio albumI Will Follow, came at a crossroads in the singer and songwriter's life.  Upon returning from a life-altering experience at a crusade-style mission event in the country of Kyrgyzstan, he found himself at a point where he was uncertain if he'd continue to pursue music or not.  Giving himself completely over to God's will for his life, the theme of his new album emerged.  “I knew what I had been called to do: to follow Him wholeheartedly,” says Camp. “In the Old Testament when God was talking to the Israelites, they’re just rebellious people, and it says, 'but Caleb has a different spirit. He followed me wholeheartedly.’ And that’s what I want to do.” "Spirit Now" comes from a place of surrender and opening ourselves up to God, asking Him to transform us.  The song is driving, the chorus a simple and catchy hook, seeking God's spirit to come over us, "We want Your spirit now, we want Your spirit now.  Come and fall on us.  We need Your spirit now, we need Your spirit now.  Come and move in us."  "Same Power" is based on 1 John 4:4 and speaks of how we can overcome because of the greatness of God, who lives in us, "The same power that rose Jesus from the grave, the same power that commands the dead to wake lives in us, lives in us.  The same power that moves mountains when He speaks, the same power that can calm a raging sea lives in us, lives in us.  He lives in us, lives in us." "He Knows" contains a powerful message of hope and assurance for those struggling with pain and tragedy.  Having experienced close personal loss, Camp shares, "I was drawn to the Hebrews 4:15 scripture where it says that we have a high priest that can empathize with our weaknesses. Jesus Christ is our high priest. Jesus is my everything. The whole concept of the song is saying, Listen, in the midst of all these pains and wounds that may come up, He knows. Christ knows every single thing."  Containing songs that both encourage and worship, I Will Follow resonates with the truth of God's word. I Will Follow - Jeremy Camp
