The reason Fellowship Creative makes music is because they believe that it reaches people in a way nothing else can. The team aims to spread hope with their new release, Eclipsed, an album that helps tell the story of what God has done and is doing in the lives of the people at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX. Fellowship Creative leader Derric Bonnot says, "This album was really written through a lot of darkness. Situations either we were dealing with or people in our church were dealing with...But one thing God is always teaching us is that so often in the darkness, the light shines the brightest. And so, something we’ve been encouraging our church with as we’ve been introducing these songs is no matter what is going on in your life, you put it face to face against Jesus, He will eclipse it every time.”
"Stars" is one of Derric's favorite tracks on the album, inspired by personal loss in his own life. It's a beautiful song that recognizes that even in the midst of trials, God is good and faithful. The song offers Him our trust and devotion, declaring that He is all that we need. The chorus is prayerful and intimate as it praises His great love and mercy, "A love that's higher than the stars above, deeper than the ocean blue. All I need is You to change my life. Mercy wider than the east to west, brighter than a morning view. All I need is You to make me right. All I need is You. I give all of me to You." "Lead Me" places our trust in God's sovereignty and guidance, allowing Him to lead us through the mountains and valleys in life. It praises His power, majesty, and grace, and declares our faith in Him, "So take my heart into Your hands. Your ways are higher, I can't understand. One thing I ask, one thing I seek, oh lead me." Also included on the album are new versions of "Jesus Is Alive," a song that tells the story of the cross and praises that Jesus is alive and lives in us, and the joyful anthem of God's grace in our lives, "Grace On Top Of Grace," both of which appeared on Fellowship Creative's 2015 EP Alive in Us.
