We are very excited to announce today's release of the new Passion album Let the Future Begin which was recorded live at the Passion Conference earlier this year. It's amazing after 16 years and 14 albums how much the sound of Passion has grown and developed and how they continue to be one of the key influencers in modern worship music for the church. Let the Future Begin is sure to be no different and we know many of you have been anticipating the release of the album ever since the live stream of the conference - well it's here and we have the original MultiTracks and Rehearsal Mixes to help teach these great songs to your team.
Some of the stand out songs that we'll be providing tracks for are include "Jesus, Only Jesus" which could be a great consideration for Easter with the focus on our salvation in Christ, and the strong declaration of God's faithfulness in "The Lord Our God" is sure to resonate with churches across the globe. We will also feature the song"Once and For All" which has a powerful gospel centered message that is is sure to quickly be a congregational favorite. The song feels familiar and congregations will quickly pick up this singable melody that declares "...we believe that God is Jesus, we believe that He is Lord, we believe that He has saved us, from sin and death, once and for all!" We will also be releasing more tracks soon including fresh arrangements of "Revelation Song" and "In Christ Alone" which are modern arrangements that will certainly be favorites with a new generation of worshippers.
Personally, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend part of the conference and to worship along with over 60,000 people there in attendance. One of my favorite musical worship moments that I've ever experienced - happened during one of the sets when we sang "Crown Him (Majesty)" from Tomlin's new album and then went right into "Revelation Song" led by Kari Jobe. During the third verse she sang, "filled with wonder, awestruck wonder, at the mention of Your Name" then paused as the band played lightly then slowly started building as different names and descriptions of Jesus were projected on the screen. The band kept building reaching the biggest moment as JESUS was projected then the band paused again...Kari softly began singing "filled with wonder..." again as the band built back into the chorus. It was a powerful moment, and one I will never forget! This is something I will be sure to use during some of the services at my church - especially the transition from "Crown Him (Majesty)" into "Revelation Song."
As a worship leader, I'm grateful for the men and women of Passion Conferences who continue to be obedient and effective by allowing themselves to be used by Christ to reach not only the college-age generation through their conferences, but all generations by continuing to equip worship leaders and worshippers with music that helps us connect to Christ as part of our daily walk with Him. Let the Future Begin is here! Be sure and check out the album on iTunes today!
