New from Kings Kaleidoscope: Becoming Who We Are

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
Seattle-based alternative worship band, Kings Kaleidoscope, has released their first full length album, Becoming Who We Are.  The 10 member band offers a unique sound, mixing genres and blending in orchestral elements in what they describe as "designed chaos." Their hope is that the album will "satisfy an audience seeking creativity, musicality, and authenticity in not only the music itself, but Who the music was created for." With powerful imagery and a strong, driving beat, "Defender" speaks of God's mighty power and deliverance in our lives, posing the question, "Who is a rock but our God? Who’s blood has sealed our freedom?" then confidently declaring, "Jesus, our savior, defender, redeemer!" "Fix My Eyes" examines how by focusing on Jesus and what he did for us, we can find strength to press on as we allow him to guide us through this life: "You help me breathe, you’re the only life I need. You died for me, you’re the only life I need."  The modern hymn, "How Deep" begins softly and simply, expressing the amazing depth of God's love for us, as reflected in Jesus's sacrifice.  It continues to build in energy as it brings forth the realization, "Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart, His wounds have paid my ransom."  Becoming Who We Are offers a dynamic and exploratory sound in an album full of worship, testifying to God's greatness and love for us.
