We are excited to bring you MultiTracks from one of India's most influential worship leaders, Sheldon Bangera. Having penned over 200 worship songs, many of which are being sung in churches all across India, the Integrity Music artist has recently released Raaja Hai Mahaan, blending traditional Indian sounds with a western worship flavor to produce a unique project that can be described as "east meeting west" in worship. It documents both Sheldon's personal spiritual life as well as that of the current Indian church.
Sheldon remarks, “This album is a reflection of many seasons with God, some of them we’ve been singing for the last 5 – 7 years. They mark personal experiences and reflections of what God is doing with the church. They are songs of hope and I feel like the whole aesthetic of it will be a blessing to many, even people who don’t understand or speak Hindi.” Raaja Hai Mahaan, which translates as "Our King Is So Great," features 9 new songs in Hindi and 3 in English including "Jai Jai Naam," "Aatmare," and "Pause." These songs are certain to find their place in Hindi worship services while giving western audiences the chance to see all the things God is doing in India. Sheldon says, "COLOR! It is beautiful. In the middle of the chaos and brokenness, we see the compassion of a great and mighty God. Culturally, there is a fresh wave of Indian-ness and the belongingness and awareness of being Indian is being felt like never before.”
