Connor Roy is a singer/songwriter and worship leader from Detroit, MI, who strives to bring a message of hope and love through his music. This week, we are featuring his newest single "I AM" as our Indie Showcase. Connor shares, "'I AM' is a song that I adapted from Jesus’ 'I AM' statements in the Bible. I felt like God wanted me to write a song describing and declaring Who He truly is."
"I feel like a lot of times, as Christians, we can put God in a box and only look at certain characteristics of Him," he continues. "We really need to look at the whole picture of God, His character and His attributes. He is worthy of praise because He’s given us life! He took on the punishment that we deserved and because of His death, we have eternal life! My prayer is that this song would minister to your heart as much as it has to mine."
