"I Need You" Understanding and declaring our need for God is a big part of worshipping God. It narrates about our dependency on Him. It points to Him doing all the work, Him having all the power and ability to work miracles, to move in our situation, Him being the one who fills the God-shaped void in people’s hearts, God does everything! We are purely the containers of His greatness and work. ‘I Need You’ is a song that sings out our need for Him. As plants need water, as a child needs a Father or Mother, as living beings need oxygen, so we need God. At times, people find that things can hold them back from God or from being closer to God in their relationship with Him. Some would say perhaps a bad attitude or a stony heart, thinking patterns, sins of the past, the list goes on. In the second verse, we speak about leaving behind the things that hold us back from gaining more of Christ. This is something that worship will often naturally lead one to ponder upon and desire to become more like Jesus. To experience Christ more and more we want to bring awareness that it’s not about seeking a feeling to know God’s presence but seeking the face of Jesus. This is where we are changed and know Him, when we behold Him. In life, there is temptation to ‘give in’ to the ways of this world. We wanted to express that we will submit, bow down, surrender and yield to Jesus through our bridge of the song. For Christianity is about surrendering the life we once lived to follow Christ because of the Worthiness of Jesus. We are so enthusiastic about the response of this soaking-worship song and all that it will mean as you realize how much we need our Saviour Jesus.   "Made Whole" A few songwriters who either work professionally with those struggling with health problems, or songwriters who currently struggle with disease, and some who had already been miraculously healed by God, got together to write a song about healing. This healing was not only related to healing of the body but for those troubled in their minds, hearts and souls too. It was written to encourage any person who has been through loss or trauma, and finds themselves desperate for God to restore them back to full health. We see a man healed at Bethesda, ‘’When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” John 5:1-15. This is something we sing to Jesus in the song, ‘come and make me whole’. It’s vital to have faith and to desire the wholeness Jesus can bring us. Being ‘made whole’ means to be restored to a state of full health. ‘Well’ relays to the health condition you are in. Jesus sees the condition of His children and has given us His word that by His stripes we are healed. The Word itself can send out all sickness from your body. In His Word and presence, we are secure that God is our salvation and healing, regardless of our state. Evil things happening can cause questions to surface, this is when we need to be in God’s Word and presence in prayer bringing our requests to God. This is where fear is silenced and we have a peace that surpasses all understanding. Jesus is the one we can look to, to repair our brokenness and to save us from suffering and bring peace over us in terrible situations. Much like the Mother in 2 Kings 4:36 We were inspired by the cases in the Word where sick people were healed. Countless accounts of the touch of Jesus turning people’s upside-down worlds, the right way up. We trust God that through this song, many people will be supernaturally freed from sickness, ailments, oppression, depression and pain they experience. Matthew 9:20-22 “And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” This song isn’t simply about the trials we face but also about overcoming them through Christ and trusting in God’s power. This is the reason our Chorus and bridge focus on declaring ‘It is well with me’ and seeing God’s goodness manifest through faith.   "For the Fame" This fun & rhythmic praise song is about how God has rescued us for His name’s sake and His glory. Our writers wanted to create something for people to be able to freely praise and enjoy dancing and singing to God in this song. The beginning of the song is about how God has rescued us from death. It says in God’s Word that we were once dead our sin, Ephesians 2:4-5 ‘’But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ’ (by grace you have been saved)’. Once you are saved you are alive with Christ and can begin to live a life of close relationship with Jesus. Realizing that Jesus is alive and that He is the One who gives us eternal life, brings one joy and a fresh vision towards the world and life as we know it! In ‘For The Fame’ lyrics we likened it to breathing for the first time and to living life for the first time in a free, unfettered way! Grace becomes your song and part of your life-story as a Born-again Christian. This BIG, underserved, overwhelming grace for the past and the future is now your own and given to you as a gift by God Himself through His Son. It changes your words, your thoughts, your heart, your destiny! Once we are saved by grace we want to seek the Holy Spirit to take His place in our lives as our guide and this is why we say: ‘Holy Spirit take control’ to lead us and help us live out our Christian journey and be used by God. Trusting that many who have not yet experienced God’s presence or rulership in their lives, we wrote about how God sets you up for good things and changes your life for good. This is as a testimony of it being a reality in the lives of us who have been saved. It is a song that speaks out our purpose which is to lift Jesus higher, to make Jesus famous. With our theme being ‘FOR HIS GLORY’, we can’t thank and exalt God enough for taking us from where we once were before we knew Him as our Saviour. We also recognize throughout the Word that we are saved for a purpose which is to make our Saviour known to the lost that many would be saved and God will receive all the glory and praise!
Psalm 96:1-9 Sing to the LORD a new song; Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the LORD made the heavens. Splendour and majesty are before Him, Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory of His name; Bring an offering and come into His courts. Worship the LORD in holy attire; Tremble before Him, all the earth.
