Writer and arranger David Stewart shares, “We found that by taking the texts of these great hymns and putting new arrangements or tunes to them, we were able to breathe new life into these beautiful classics that have stood the test of time. As a collective, we also have spent a lot of time writing new songs surround the themes of strength, rest and comfort that have emerged from times of corporate and personal worship.” The album offers a blend of standards including "Rock of Ages (Lord of All)" and "Love Lifted Me" as well as originals such as "Rest," "Strength," and "God of Comfort," with each song drawing directly from scripture.
