Brand New from Jesus Culture - Let It Echo

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
Following up on their 2014 chart-topping release Unstoppable Love, Jesus Culture is back with their highly anticipated new album titled "Let It Echo." Featuring 12 new songs led by Kim Walker-Smith, Chris Quilala, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, Derek Johnson, and Chris McClarney, this album marks Jesus Culture's 9th live recording and the first recorded in front of their congregation at their newly established campus in Sacramento, CA.  It captures the heart of a community seeking after Jesus with a desire to know Him more and to see this passion spread from cities to nations.  Jesus Culture will be debuting these new songs live at their annual conference in Sacramento later this month on January 23-24th.  We believe this is one of their best projects yet, containing a number of songs that will have a lasting impact on the Church and be sung for years to come. Kim Walker-Smith shares, "This last year was a tough season for us as a community, and the songs we wrote for this album reflect the breakthrough, the victory, and the growth we have experienced through that.  I believe there is a new maturity in our writing that comes from a place of deep intimacy with Jesus. My hope is that as people listen to the album they will encounter Jesus and be filled with hope, life, joy, and fresh passion for His presence. I pray that the message of life and Jesus that fills these songs would echo within the hearts of the listeners and across the nations." "Fierce" is one of the powerful new anthems from this project and it paints a picture of God's relentless pursuit for us.  Worship leader Chris Quilala states, "It's such an amazing picture of God's love for us and for His children in that no matter where we go, we can't outrun His love.  We can't hide from His love."  Referencing the love the father had for the prodigal son and how it shows how our Father in Heaven welcomes us back home, it worships, "Like a tidal wave crashing over me, rushing in to meet me here. Your love is fierce! Like a hurricane that I can’t escape tearing through the atmosphere. Your love is fierce!"  "Alive in You" proclaims the greatness of God and His sovereignty even in the difficult circumstances.  The song is a testament of our faith, knowing He will never leave our side and that He is our strength, "You are God, You're the Great I Am. Breath of life I breathe You in. Even in the fire I'm alive in You! You are strong in my brokenness, sovereign over every step. Even in the fire, I'm alive, I'm alive in You." Echoing the words of Galatians 2:20, it goes on to praise, "It's no longer I who live, but Christ who lives within me, Christ who lives within me. From beginning to the end You deserve the glory, You deserve the glory." The album's title track, "Let It Echo (Heaven Fall)" approaches the Father with reverence, acknowledging the unfathomable awesomeness of His glory and expressing a deep longing for more.  In an outpouring of worship, the chorus echoes a desire that the nations would come to experience His presence, "Let it echo from this city to the nations, the sound of praise. Let the windows of the heavens open wide, let it rain."  The song leads into a time that allows for prayer and spontaneous worship as it invites the Spirit of God to move and Have His way. We encourage you to check out what our friends at Worship Together are offering as special features around the songs "In The River," "Fierce," "Alive In You," and "Let It Echo (Heaven Fall)."  You'll get to hear Kim Walker-Smith and Chris Quilala talk about the stories behind the songs and share a performance of each and you can pick up a free chart.  Worship Together is definitely a valuable resource for worship leaders!
