Mark Schultz's album, Follow marks his first full-length project in six years. This album, which offers a mix of new songs and fan-favorites, has an effortless way of combining piano into pop-centric songs so that the piano becomes a dueting "voice." Original Master Tracks and other resources are now available for 3 new songs from the album: "Hope Is Rising," "I Am," and "What Love Looks Like." Mark wrote "Hope Is Rising" for a friend who lost his wife to cancer. He shares, "He has since remarried and his kids carry on her amazing legacy of love. I think there are a lot of times in life when the road is dark and it would be easy to give up, but we're reminded that the sun rises again, his mercies are new every morning, and we can keep going by the grace of God." "I Am" is another favorite that he wrote when he was a youth director. "I remember writing the lyrics to it while I sat in the church's copy machine room (where I wrote a lot of these songs!). Not too much has changed...now I like to write lyrics in my garage, surrounded by shelves and random tools." Mark also shares the story behind "What Love Looks Like." "Mark Devries was the youth minister that recruited me when I was waiting tables in Nashville over 20 years ago. I had no idea when we met what a life changing adventure was ahead of me when he took me on as a friend and mentor. I know I wouldn't be married to Kate or have the career I've had without meeting him. You probably wouldn't be reading these words or listening to these songs without God placing him in my life. I'm so grateful! And, he's done this for so many. He's really one of the biggest examples to me of living a godly life, what love looks like." Pick up the worship-leading resources from Follow today!
