Biography

Megan Danielle, a talented singer-songwriter from Douglasville, Georgia, has captured hearts and earned acclaim as a standout performer on American Idol 2023, where she placed second. Growing up in a lively household with two sisters and a brother, family has always been at the core of Megan's life. “I am really big on family; we are all so close and do just about everything together,” she says, reminiscing about joyful days spent watching her grandpa and uncles at the racetrack, playing ball, and enjoying cornhole with her siblings.

Music has been a constant presence in Megan’s life. She recalls, “Since I was a little girl, I have always enjoyed listening to music and singing along to anything I’d hear.” Although initially shy about pursuing her passion, her determination grew. At just 15, Megan booked her own show at a local restaurant, and by 18, she was singing anywhere she could find an audience—bars, venues, and any place that welcomed her voice.

Throughout her time on American Idol, Megan showcased an impressive range of musical styles, drawing inspiration from artists like Miranda Lambert, Lauren Daigle, Chris Stapleton, and Fleetwood Mac. Despite her young age of 22, she possesses a depth of soul and experience that resonates with listeners.

In 2023, Megan released her first official single, “Dream Girl,” marking the beginning of her solo career. After a year of touring, writing, and evolving as an artist, she signed with Sony/Provident Music, joining the ranks of well-known artists like Brandon Lake and Zach Williams. Her upcoming single, “When I Found You,” written with Jason Ingram and Ethan Hulse, is set to be released November 15, 2024, with more music to follow in early 2025.

Megan is also making waves as a featured vocalist, collaborating with Ben Fuller on “If I Got Jesus” and Sidewalk Prophets on “Looking Up.” This fall, she’ll be touring with Consumed By Fire and Caleb & John, bringing her fresh sounds and heartfelt lyrics to fans across the country.
