Your Kingdom Come is the newest release from Lifeway Worship's 2012 Songwriter of the Year, Shelly E. Johnson.  Each song was written to encourage believers to seek and grow the Kingdom of God.  Johnson explains, "My prayer is that these songs would spark courage in the hearts of listeners and worshippers, so that we can all live and thrive in the hope and Truth of the Gospel." The album tells One story about One kingdom.  The title track, "Kingdom Come," was inspired by the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 and expresses a longing for the Kingdom of God.  "It's such a simple prayer," Johnson says, "but if that prayer is lived out to the fullest potential, it has the power to completely change our lives." "Overwhelmed" is a moving ballad that focuses on gratitude.  Johnson remarks, "We go to God so often, asking him for things and asking him to do things for us, but so often we forget to just stop and to just say thank you."  The song does just that, worshipping God and telling Him just how grateful we are for all He has done: "Overwhelmed, I’m overwhelmed. Words are not enough to say how much I love You. Overwhelmed, I’m overwhelmed. Forever I will sing of how Your love has overwhelmed me."  She is probably best known, however, for her song, "Power of the Cross," which has been recorded by Steve Green and Natalie Grant and won GMA's Song of the Year in 2008 in the Semi-pro category. It's a powerful testimony of just how the cross can transform our lives, reconciling, healing, and freeing us from sin. Your Kingdom Come - Shelly E. Johnson
