Many of you have requested past favorites by Matt Maher and we are pleased to announce that we have added the MultiTracks for five songs from his 2013 release, All The People Said Amen. This album features a mix of studio recordings and live versions of some of Matt's most well-loved anthems. “This record is a musical collage. I think most of our lives look like that, this jumble of a bunch of different stuff,” he explains. “Hopefully, when you take a step back, you realize something that might seem a little chaotic close-up, farther away, actually is a work of art that God’s slowly creating. These songs are created out of living as a community of faith firsthand, and it’s my desire to remind listeners that we are all His work of art.”
For this project, Matt shares, "I tried to identify themes within the story of Christianity that are worth saying, ‘amen.’” "Lord I Need You" prayerfully brings worshippers to the feet of God and offers a humble admission of our great need for Him in our lives. “The whole idea of being dependent on God is just really counter-cultural,” Matt comments, “but I think that’s sort of at the heart of the Gospel—the way of freedom is through surrender.” In an age where so much seems to divide us, "Hold Us Together" seeks to unite as it emphasizes the importance of acting out the commandment of love. With a fun, bluesy sound and catchy lyrics, it shares a powerful and uplifting message, "And love will hold us together, make us a shelter to weather the storm. And I'll be my brother's keeper so the whole world would know that we're not alone." "Burning In My Soul" is a passionate and unified cry for the Spirit of God to move in our lives and bring the Kingdom of God to this world. The song debuted at the Passion 2013 conference at the Georgia Dome, attended by more than 60,000 college students.
