This week we are featuring One and Only, the recent release from Houston, Texas based worship collective, The MetCollective as our Indie Showcase. Birthed out of the local church, the team has become an evolving collaboration of pastors, worship leaders, musicians and songwriters, all bound by the common goal of giving voice to a generation who is passionate about God.
One and Only was recorded live at The MetCollective's home church in Houston TX during a Night of Worship and it includes six new original songs that encourage heartfelt worship to our powerful God. "Upon This Rock" is a beautiful anthem that testifies of our hope and trust which is found in Jesus. It recognizes His strength and sovereignty, worshipping, "You're still strong when I am weak. You still reign in my defeat. You're still God when all seems lost. So I will stand upon this rock." "Unstoppable" proclaims the eternal majesty of God and rejoices in Jesus' resurrection, looking ahead to the coming kingdom when we will worship at His throne. The chorus praises, "Unstoppable, Your love has overcome the impossible. Your glory stands above every obstacle and all that stands against You only prove that You are unstoppable." With a joyful sound and an energetic dance beat, "Speak Your Name" is an exciting declaration of the power of Jesus' name, in which we find grace, freedom, and salvation.
