Top 3 Features in Playback

Playback has seen some major updates in 2018! We’ve highlighted our 3 favorite features that can be enjoyed in every version of Playback, including our FREE version called Playback Intro.

1. Offline Key/Tempo Change – Did you know that you can transpose your downloaded Playback content to all 12 keys without an internet connection? You can also speed up or slow down your content by 20 BPMs. We use the same built-in pitch engine as Ableton Live.

2. Live Crossfade – This year we introduced an exciting new feature that unlocked unprecedented flexibility. Live Crossfade allows you to instantly transition to any song in your setlist at any point while playing, no matter where you are in the set. Any song is just a double-tap away.

3. Stability – Our most important feature in Playback will always be stability. We have established a rigorous testing process for every build of Playback to ensure that quality versions are shipped to the AppStore. We also value transparency, so we put our crash rating on the web for you to view in real-time at status.multitracks.com.

We are excited to offer FREE access to Playback Premium and MultiTracks Cloud for the next 100 applicants to join our Playback Beta Team. You will gain immediate access to upcoming features we're currently testing, including the ability to upload your own Custom Click and Guide. The next feature we are releasing to our Playback Beta Team will be access to saved Setlists and Arrangements. Click here to learn more.

Introducing Playback 5.0

Today we are excited to announce the release of a major new update for Playback.  We’ve re-designed the App and have added some of your most requested features, including the ability to access Pads from your favorite patch producers within the App.  Now you can preset crossfades between Pads and MultiTracks with ease.  You can now also change the key and tempo of any song in your set. We’ve done this using the e ́lastique Pro V3 by zplane.development which changes audio with minimal artifacts. This is the same engine that is found in many professional DAW’s including Steinberg Cubase, Ableton Live, and PreSonus Studio One.  Finally, with the new “Add Songs Menu,” you can search for any song in your catalog and get access to your recent purchases right away.  Download the free update today!

Using Playback app in a small church setting - feat. "The Cross Has the Final Word"

When Cody Carnes was here at our studio in Austin filming a Session for his newest single, "The Cross Has The Final Word," he asked if he could do another take showing how Playback made a difference for him when he was leading worship by himself at a new church plant... and of course we said... Absolutely! Watch Cody's story and hear the song in a new context as he demonstrates a way to lead in a small church setting with limited or no musicians using a kick drum, acoustic, and Playback. "The Cross Has The Final Word" is also our free Play of the Week this week which will be available as a free rental in the app through this Sunday, March 12th, 2017. If you haven't downloaded Playback yet, get our free version in the App Store today and try this song in your services this week!
