New Release from Planetshakers: This Is Our Time

CATEGORIES: News, Home Page, New Releases
Planetshakers, the worship band from Melbourne's Planetshakers Church has just released a brand new album, This Is Our Time.  Recorded live at the annual Planetshakers Conference, the album celebrates the church's mandate to “empower generations to win generations.” “We are called to be the person God has created us to be,” says Hunt. “To the father or mother, entrepreneur or artist or with whatever unique gifts we’ve collectively been given, we are to share that with the world. This is our time to show the love of Christ to others, to be the servant. This goes deeper than having a good time, it goes beyond having an emotional response. We’re seeing people connect with these songs, being encouraged and challenged by the messages.” The title track, "This Is Our Time," rejoices in all the Lord has done.  With a catchy beat and high energy, the song affirms, "This will be the best time of our life as we encounter Your love again. Here with You our hearts will come alive as we declare Your praises."  Co-written by Joth Hunt and five-time GRAMMY Award winner, Israel Houghton, "Covered" examines Jesus's sacrifice at the cross, His grace covering our sin: "No matter what I've done, No matter where I've been, No matter how I fall, You pick me up again. You have removed my shame, You take as I am. You call me justified, now I am covered by Your grace."  "Leave Me Astounded" expresses a deep desire for God's presence and acknowledges that He alone can satisfy, entreating, "Leave me astounded, leave me amazed. Show off Your glory, let heaven invade. We're waiting with worship, we're waiting with praise for the almighty presence of God to invade."  With a mix of dynamic dance-praise songs and powerful worship anthems, This Is Our Time is an impassioned declaration of God’s active presence in today’s world and an invitation to press into His movement.   This Is Our Time - Planetshakers
