Bethel Music's brand new release, We Will Not Be Shaken, was recorded live last summer when the Bethel Music community gathered on a mountaintop overlooking Shasta Lake, north of Redding, CA for an intimate evening of worship. This new album shows an incredible depth of songwriting birthed out of time in God's presence and features 11 new songs led by the Bethel Music Artist Collective, including Brian Johnson, Jenn Johnson, Hunter Thompson, Amanda Cook and Matt Stinton, as well as debut artists Kalley Heiligenthal, Hannah McClure, Paul McClure, Jonathan David Helser and Melissa Helser. It's really an incredible album full of congregational worship anthems and our favorite Bethel album to date!
The title track, "We Will Not Be Shaken" came out of a moment of spontaneous worship and encourages believers to remain steadfast in the midst of adversity and remember the promise of John 16:33: "For in the hour of our darkest day, We will not tremble, we won’t be afraid. Hope is rising like the light of dawn. Our God is for us. He has overcome." "Ever Be" is an incredible song with an infectious melodic hook that's sure to be a fast favorite with many congregations. Praising God's faithfulness and love, the verses outline his mercy and kindness as the chorus instantly pulls in worshipers with the lyrics "Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips." "Jesus We Love You" is a heartfelt anthem of devotion, a declaration that, "Jesus we love you. Oh how we love you. You are the one our hearts adore."
