Come Alive is a brand new EP released by CentricWorship, the newly formed imprint of Centricity Publishing. The project was born out of a week-long retreat, placing a number of talented songwriters and artists in a creative environment where worship came first and writing second.
“Our mission is to resource the Body of Christ with a continuous flow of fresh and powerful songs that inspire worship,” says Wisdom Moon, Resource & Engagement Manager for CentricWorship. “The retreats truly do provide an opportunity for songwriters to break away from the daily grind, press into the Lord and write from an honest place of worship.” Including collaborations by Jared Anderson, Israel Houghton, and Dustin Smith, the songs on Come Alive capture the heart of a people hungry for God. "Consume Us" expresses a desire to be consumed by God's refining and purifying fire, the chorus inviting Him to "Consume us now, living fire. Come and be our one desire. Fan the flame to burn within. We burn for you!" "More and More" speaks of how only God can satisfy, drawing upon the words of the Psalms in the chorus, "For the Lord is good and His love endures, Yes the Lord is good forever. And I’ll shout it out from the mountaintops, yes the Lord is good forever." "Greater Is He" is a reminder in times of fear and struggle that God is mighty and powerful and truly greater than anything in this world.
