The Village Church is a multi-site church with locations around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which exists to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, community, service, and multiplication. The team shares, "Through music, we hope to accomplish two things: worship our great God and lead our people into doing the same. We do this by seeking to play music that is true, good and beautiful, not only writing and leading songs that are aesthetically pleasing but that also teach our people the truth of the Scriptures, who God is and what He has done in Jesus Christ." The EP's title track, "Look and See," proclaims the good news of Jesus' victory on the cross and it looks ahead to His return when we will be reunited with Him, praising Him for all eternity. It shares the Gospel story, glorifying God and rejoicing in His grace and mercy, "Oh look and see our God and celebrate the power of the cross and the empty grave. And now we’re free, let the redeemed lift up your heads. Oh look and see our God!" "Come To Me" is a beautiful song that was adapted from Lizzie Akers' 1902 hymn, "Come, Oh Come to Me." It invites people to lay all of their burdens down at the feet of Jesus and find their rest in Him. The verses are drawn from the original hymn, but The Village Church introduces a new original chorus that says, "There is freedom, taste and see. Hear the call, 'Come to Me.' Run into His arms of grace. Your burden carried, He will take." "Be Thou My Vision" is another great hymn arrangement that expresses a heartfelt longing that Jesus be at the center of our lives and that we would be fully dedicated to Him, living every minute of our lives for His glory.
