We're pleased to announce that today marks the official release of Paul Baloche LIVE! Here in a few words is what Paul Baloche himself says about the project: "This album captures the live sound of worship teams from all over Canada. On a Friday night outside of Toronto, a thousand leaders came together to form a congregation of one to worship God. A unique sound from singers of varied denominations and generations, raising old hymns and new songs as sung prayers. Raw, spontaneous, and unpolished - our hope was to capture a true and honest expression of worship to our God." From the first track, "Our God Saves," this album may be "unpolished" in Baloche's words, but the simplicity is excellent, allowing space for the worshiper as the band tracks flow as efficient and colorful. The tie-in of old hymns anchors the project well with songs like "Mighty Fortress" and the inclusion of the traditional "Holy, Holy, Holy." Moments like "You are the strength of my life, I can rely on you, I can rely on you" with the song "God My Rock" bring a tinge of telecaster and a driving arrangement holding it together. In the same vein, the B3 organ, sweet guitar licks, and vocal harmonies on "You Lift Us Up" fit in that roots rock genre a bit as well. For the piano and key players songs like "The Same Love" are a nice contrast with a bit of a pop-like piano-driven feel. "Jesus Be My Savior" stands out as one of the new tunes on the project that might be a great choice of song for communion moments in a worship service. A fresh touch on "Hosanna (Praise Is Rising)" and "Today Is The Day" are surely worth a look at to reintroduce these familiar songs with new arrangements. If you haven't yet, check out the Easter song "He Is Risen" which was released as a single last month and climbing up our Top 20 here at MultiTracks.com - a great anthem of His resurrection. We hope these songs are a blessing to your congregation! Paul Baloche Live   Check out this video! [youtube_sc url="http://youtu.be/_kbbxraBjy8"]
