Christmas Worship Vol. 2 is the brand new release from Dove Award winning worship leader Paul Baloche. This new album seamlessly blends Christmas favorites with vertical worship lyrics resulting in seasonal songs that focus on bringing heartfelt devotion to our Savior. Paul says, "There is so much content and beauty and theology in a song like 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' and 'What Child Is This?,' but most of these traditional carols are not vertical in nature; not speaking to the Lord. By adding a simple chorus at the end, a response to the beauty of the lyric, melody and the nostalgia of these beautiful carols, and then segueing into a first-person response in keeping with the Advent season, it's amazing the shift in perspective."
Paul blends some of his most popular worship anthems with timeless Christmas carols on the album, including "For Unto Us A Child Is Born/Open The Eyes Of My Heart," "Joy To The World/Our God Saves," and "Angels From The Realms Of Glory/Emmanuel" which reworks his popular praise chorus "Hosanna." These songs are certain to speak to congregations, encouraging sincere worship during the Christmas season.
In addition, Paul has collaborated with a number of artists on this new project including worship duo All Sons and Daughters, Lenny LeBlanc, Brooklyn Tabernacle and New Breed's Onajé Jefferson, Graham Kendrick, and WorshipMob's Gina Milne. "In many ways, I'm even more excited about Christmas Worship Vol. 2 because of the collective, community nature of it," Paul says. "So many friendships and relationships have been forged through the years. This is like a 'Paul Baloche and Friends' project, which is such a beautiful thing. There are different streams and generations represented in this effort, and each one inspires me in different ways to write and sing and be better."
