The band members of MercyMe have always enjoyed coming up with their own renditions of the Christmas songs they had grown up with. When they had an opportunity to record a Christmas album of their own, they jumped at the chance. In 2005, they released The Christmas Sessions: an album containing both classic and modern Christmas songs with the style and sound of MercyMe.
Some of the standouts include an exciting symphonic rock version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," Lee Mendelson's and Vince Guaraldi's sentimental classic, "Christmas Time Is Here," and "Gloria," which is an upbeat and modified rendition of "Angels We Have Heard on High." "Little Drummer Boy" is another, starting out soft and intense and building dynamically as the song unfolds. This album has been a favorite for many people for years and we are pleased to bring you the MultiTracks!
