Singer and songwriter, Joshua Dufrene serves as one of the worship leaders with the Dallas-based worship ministry, Covenant Worship. His latest solo album, Not Ashamed, was released in May of this year.
The title track, "Not Ashamed" is a strong anthem that acknowledges Jesus's sacrifice on the cross, boldly declaring what we believe: "It's grace that saves and sets me free. Your love has made a way for me. I'm not ashamed to lift my hands and sing. My savior hung upon a tree and all I am I owe to Thee. I'm not ashamed to lift my hands and sing." "For My Good" speaks of placing our trust in Jesus, knowing that He is in full control, confidently asserting, "I know you will work it out, yeah You will work it out for my good, for my good. I will trust and never doubt. I know You will work it out for my good, for my good." Featuring gospel artist, William McDowell, "You Are Here" intimately expresses a longing and desire for God's presence. The simple repeated chorus, "You are here. You are here now. Have your way as we bow down," builds in intensity, offering freedom for improvisation and spontaneity in worship.
