Recorded in the round at their home church in suburban Atlanta, this brand new release, Faithful, features songs that share the gospel, praising God and connecting worshipers with the timeless truth of His faithfulness.
Cowritten by NewSong's Russ Lee and All Sons and Daughters' David Leonard and Leslie Jordan, the title track, "Faithful", joyfully emphasizes this theme, rejoicing that we live because God is faithful. It testifies that even when the earth shakes and our lives seem to fall apart, we won't fear because we know we can rely on His promises. The chorus is incredibly singable, driving home the truth of His goodness in the repeated declaration, "You are faithful." "Angels" was inspired by 1 Peter 1:12 and marvels at the things that God has revealed to us. Band member Eddie Carswell shares, "The whole idea that there are things angels long to see and know that God shows to us, that He loves us to the point of coming to us because we couldn’t get to Him, it was just an exciting concept to try to write about.” With great energy, it praises, "Amazing grace how can it be? I once was blind but now I see things angels long to see." "Give Me Faith" speaks of how God's power is made perfect in our weaknesses. Expressing our deep need for Him, it offers full surrender, asking Him to, "Give me faith to trust what You say. That You're good, and Your love is great. I'm broken inside, I give You my life."
