Citipointe Live's newest release, Wildfire, celebrates 10 years of worship and captures the heart of what God is doing in Brisbane, Australia's Citipointe Church. It is the team's hope that the songs will set hearts ablaze with a passion for Christ and a readiness to change the world.
The album contains a mix of energetic praise and intimate worship that invites the presence of God. "On Top of the World" is celebratory, rejoicing in the hope and freedom we find in Christ. Songwriter and worship leader, Joel Ramsey shares, "It's not what we go through in this life that defines us, but what He went through," which is emphasized in the words, "Christ is my identity, His Spirit lives in me, Heaven my reality, Your love has broken free." The title track, "Wildfire" declares victory as Jesus has conquered sorrow, pain, and death on the cross, His love igniting a passion in our hearts to impact our world by sharing the hope we have in Him: "Your love ignites like wildfire, wildfire. Burning bright, it's wildfire, wildfire. Though in the valley, Your light we will carry with us." "Presence Power Glory" takes on a more introspective tone, prayerfully petitioning God to strip away everything that hinders us from seeking Him, inviting Him to "Come and fill this place with Your mercy, with Your grace, Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit. With power and with love, all consuming fire come, Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit." The song offers much room for freedom and improvisation and powerfully expresses our desire to know Him.
