When Cody Carnes was here at our studio in Austin filming a Session for his newest single, "The Cross Has The Final Word," he asked if he could do another take showing how Playback made a difference for him when he was leading worship by himself at a new church plant... and of course we said... Absolutely! Watch Cody's story and hear the song in a new context as he demonstrates a way to lead in a small church setting with limited or no musicians using a kick drum, acoustic, and Playback. "The Cross Has The Final Word" is also our free Play of the Week this week which will be available as a free rental in the app through this Sunday, March 12th, 2017. If you haven't downloaded Playback yet, get our free version in the App Store today and try this song in your services this week!
Did you know you can add your own content into Playback? Would you love the ability to give your sound person individual control over each track in Playback? You can do that now with SmartRouting™ and MultiOuts™! If it’s been a while since you’ve used the app and you’re curious about our latest features, check out our newly re-designed Playback product and features pages which are full of short and simple videos that will get you up-to-speed on the latest features.
We are excited to offer "You Are With Me" from Seth & Nirva's latest album, Never Alone, as this week's "Play of the Week." You'll hear the full instrumentation and will be able to access to the song for free for the entire week through this Sunday, July 24, in our MultiTrack app, Playback. If you've never used Playback, now is a great time to download it for free on the App Store and try it out. What better way to start the week than with some new music?
With Playback you now have more freedom than you’ve ever had before when running tracks. Our newest release, Playback 3.3 is available to download today for iPhone or iPad and it includes some of the biggest updates we’ve ever made to Playback. Read on for a quick run-through of everything that’s new in the App. If you want to demo these features, you can start a free 30 day trial of Pro or Premium to try them out for yourself.
One of the biggest requests we've received since launching Playback Subscriptions last year has been the ability to purchase multiple Playback Subscriptions for people through one account - and it's now available through a new tab in your account called People. Add team members to your account, purchase their Playback Subscriptions, and allow them to have access to your purchased library through Team Sharing (formerly Playback User Management).
Monday, Apple announced the release of iOS 9.3 which your iPhone and iPad has probably been asking you to update. We are aware of a bug in our previous app store version of Playback (3.01) that will cause the app to crash when you press edit if you’ve updated your device to iOS 9.3. The good news is we have a new version of the app in the App Store which fixes this issue and it contains some great new features and enhancements. We encourage you to update to the new version immediately. You can confirm what version of Playback you have by tapping the “Settings” icon in the upper right hand corner of Playback.
Because we had such a great response last week to our Playback 3.0 Webinar, we are offering it again this Friday, Oct 23 at 11 am and 5pm CST!
Join us for this free live webinar where we’ll introduce you to the new features of Playback 3.0. We’ll give you a look at what’s new in Playback as well as a tour of Playback and how to use your iPad or iPhone to play MultiTracks live. We’ll take a look at Playback’s features like Song Sections, Dynamic Guide Cues, Looping, MIDI Control as well as the brand new 3.0 features like Buses, SmartRouting, and MultiOuts.
Today we’re pleased to announce that Playback 3.0 is now available on the App Store. This is the biggest update we’ve ever done to our MultiTrack App and it includes some great new features that makes Playback more accessible than ever before.
With Playback 3.0, we’re consolidating both Pro and Intro into one app simply called “Playback.” Much like Playback Intro, Playback is a free app that will now include two upgrade paths through subscriptions called “Pro” and “Premium.” The subscriptions cost less if they’re activated on our website in your ‘My Account’ preferences under ‘Playback Subscriptions’ at $3.99 for Pro and $5.99 for Premium. You can also activate your subscription as an in-app purchase, but we don’t recommend this as subscriptions cost more through Apple at $4.99 for (Pro) and $6.99 (Premium).
We’re moving to this subscription model as we believe this will allow us to better serve you with regular updates and one of the best benefits is we can now offer all users a 30 Day Free Trial for Pro and Premium Subscriptions so you can check out all the new features for free!
Our Pro Subscription still includes all the features that have been available in Pro like MIDI Mapping, Editing Song Sections, Section looping, and Infinite Loop and Pro is still compatible with iPad 2 and above and iPhone 5 and above. If you’ve purchased Pro in the past, don’t worry. You’ll have lifetime access to the features through the Pro Subscription. Just log in to Playback and it will be automatically available. For info on how to access the free upgrade, check out this link.
Our brand new Premium Subscription features MultiOuts™ which allows you to route Multiple Outputs when using a Supported USB Audio Interface. You can see all our currently supported interfaces here. We’ve also added the ability to assign tracks to buses, or we can do it for you with our new SmartRouting™ feature that automatically assigns each track to the appropriate bus for you. Due to performance requirements, the Premium subscription is only available for iPhone 6 and above and iPad Air and above.
If you speak Spanish or Portuguese, you’re in luck… Playback does too. We’ve added Multi-language support so your experience in Playback will match the language localized on your device.
